The short version: the CellarLume app collects nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of ours. Your catalog lives on your own controller, on your own network.
Data we collect
None. The CellarLume app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We never see your data, because it is never sent to us.
Where your data lives
Your wine catalog — names, quantities, prices, notes, tasting history, drink windows — is stored on your own cellar controller (an ESP32-based device on your home network) and nowhere else. The app communicates directly with that device at the address you enter during setup. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party.
Local network access
iOS will ask permission for local-network access. It is used for exactly one purpose: communicating with your cellar controller at the address you configured. Declining it means the app can only run in demo mode.
NFC
The app can read NFC tags you have placed on your own wine rack. Tag contents are processed on your phone solely to identify a rack location, and are not stored or transmitted anywhere.
Demo mode
Demo mode uses sample data bundled with the app and makes no network connections at all.
Pour announcements and webhooks
If you configure a webhook — for example to drive a display elsewhere in your house — your controller sends pour events to the address you specify. We are not involved in that traffic and never see it. Where those events go is entirely your choice, and the feature is off until you turn it on.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. It is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard server request logs (including IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention, as any web host does. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request necessary to serve them.
If you join the waitlist, we store the email address and the option you selected, and use them for one purpose: telling you when the hardware is available to buy. We do not sell, rent, or share that list. Reply to any message and you’re removed.
Children
CellarLume is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
